Privacy policy

Short version: you can use every calculator on this site without an account, and we do not keep what you type into them.

Calculators

The hourly, overtime, pay period and PTO calculators run entirely in your browser. The take-home pay calculator sends your pay, state and filing status to our server to work out the taxes and sends the result back; the request is not stored, and because it is sent in the body of the request it does not appear in our server logs either.

Server logs

Like almost every website, our web server records each request: the page address, the time, your IP address and the browser's user agent string. We use these logs to keep the site running, to spot errors and to block abusive traffic. They are kept for a limited time and are not sold or shared.

Analytics

We use Statcounter to count visits and see which pages are read. Statcounter may set a cookie and records information such as pages viewed, referring site, approximate location and device type. You can read Statcounter's privacy policy, and you can block it with any standard tracker blocker without losing any feature of this site.

Contact form

If you write to us, we keep your name, email and message so we can reply and follow up on corrections. We do not add you to any mailing list. Ask us and we will delete them.

Cookies

This site does not set cookies of its own. The only cookies come from the analytics service described above.

Children

The site is meant for adults and teenagers looking at their own pay. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and the date at the top. Questions about privacy can go through our contact form.
